It goes through the shutdown processes (killing SSH, samba, http daemons) but it hangs at a point I can't determine. The unit flashes a small white LED when shutting down and this LED does not stop flashing. WebSo to resolve this issue, you will need to install the Firmware which would require you to at least have one or more HDDs in the device. Make sure the HDD starts from slot 1 upwards. P.S. There were 2 different firmware released for this Iomega. One with the red interface and the other with the black interface.
