I had installed AFR 227 heads and comp cam 280 FT. I had no issues with comp cam. I did issues with AFR where the retainer sheered off and sucked the valve in the cylinder. luckily the piston pushed the valve back up and got stuck. The piston had a tiny mark from the valve.

I run crower cam saver lifters in all my flat tappet hydraulic stuff and Howards direct lube in solid flat tappet. My last set of crower cam savers stayed with the reground 280H cam.
