Similar sounding phones, exept for a wider soundstage and somewhat better resolution on the T70, and a sound resembling sibilance in the treble area of the SRH940. In short, I found the T70p's better, but not 2 x the money better. WebDon't buy the T70P. Ever. This headphone is literally so goddamn bright that it made my ears feel like I just got off an airplane. WebT70 head band is not stiff, so most of the weight is set on the top of the head. But still, the velour headband is very comfortable. For bad example, you can look at the head band construction of AKG - K702. Looks ugly, bumps on the head band gives painful experience (I need to do some modifications to use this).

I do find the DT990s to triumph in comfort though, the earpads on those were softer and plushier, perhaps it is because these weight a little more, but it's not a major difference.
