WebDec 5, 2024 · I fixed this issue by reinstalling Windows 10 from scratch. I figured out that it must be a software problem by running my PC in Safe Mode with Networking for a day. It had zero crashes of the USB 3.10 eXtensible Host Controller driver, even though this driver was loaded by Safe Mode. The only driver problem I had was that the touchpad driver Windows 10 ships with is pretty limited (no settings), so I use an old version I've been using for a while now, 11.14.1.3. It was originally for a Lenovo, but it works great.
