WebPW—CWS Welcome Backpacks Presbyterian Women are gearing up to get back in action, and our first project is through Church World Service to provide Welcome Backpacks for asylum seekers and refugees. We have helped before with school and hygiene kits, but a backpack for a family of four, filled with a variety of items, seems more urgent this year. WebChurch World Service Kits now include a Period (Menstrual Hygiene) Pack and a Welcome Backpack. These join CWS’s well-established Hygiene and School Kits and Emergency Cleanup Buckets. And UCC churches assembling and donating any of the CWS Kits can apply for UCC Match Grants of up to $250 to help stretch their contribution.
