WebApr 8, 2009 · I tend to cone pistols deeper than rifles, I use the coning tools I have made to cut a "cone" about 1/8" long on the lands as a finish to the crown which I feel works better when cut with 2-3 angles somewhat blended together. Though with the right angle a single angle will work too.
